This was a most amazing bread. Surprise myself every time I bake. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to bake sourdough bread. It’s easy peasy! This bread I served with cream cheese and smoked salmon.
Here’s a very simple recipe for doggie treats that I’m sure your dog will love. . .
1 cup almond flour
3 5 oz. cans tuna packed in water
1 egg
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together and put in an 8″ x 8″ baking dish.
Spread the dough out as if you were making brownies.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Then lower oven to 275 degrees and bake another 20 minutes.
After this second 20 minutes in the oven, take the treats out and, leaving them in the baking dish and using a very sharp knife, cut into squares just like you would for brownies. Make the squares as large or as small as you want.
Return the treats to the oven and bake for another 40 minutes, checking the treats in the middle of this baking period.
They have been in the oven for a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes and they should be relatively hard to the touch.
Take them out and let cool completely before scoring them again with a sharp knife and removing them from the baking dish.
These can be refrigerated for up to a week.
